Taller, wider and longer the redesigned Toyota 4Runner is a mid-size sport utility vehicle that combines true off-road competence with everyday driving comfort, refinement and safety. The V8 engine and the Sport trim are dropped for 2010. The SR5 and Limited trims are available in rear- or four-wheel drive. A new Trail Edition with rear locking differential, crawl control, rock rails and moonroof is only available in four-wheel drive. Each trim has a five-speed automatic transmission and a 270-hp 4.0-liter V6 engine. A rear-wheel drive SR5 with a 157-hp four-cylinder engine and four-speed automatic transmission is expected to have late availability. An optional third-row seat expands the passenger capacity to seven. Stability control, traction control, 12 airbags and roll-over sensors are standard. The Toyota 4Runner is redesigned for 2010.
