2008 Isuzu i-290 Review

The Isuzu i-290 is a compact pickup truck based on the Chevrolet Colorado/GMC Canyon twins but offers its own unique styling and Isuzu's impressive warranty coverage. The i-290 is powered by a 185-hp, 2.9-liter four-cylinder mated to either a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission driving the rear wheels. The i-290 comes in one basic 'S' trim and one bodystyle, an extended cab. The truck has a payload just over 1,500lbs and can tow up to 3,200 lbs when equipped with the automatic transmission. Standard equipment features include front airbags with passenger sensing, air conditioning, 15" aluminum wheels, tire pressure monitoring and automatic headlights. For 2008, the i-290 gains three new exterior colors, but loses the LS trim that was available in 2007.
